Office On the Go

Today, people getting more and more mobile. Products that allow you to do stuff that you used to do only on certain places and time have come up – with a bang. Say for example the emergence of smart phones allowed corporate folks who struggle with work-life balance, now have the chance to take care of business even during jogging, driving or even while running on a treadmill. Another example is kids doing stuff on a tablet (like watching a movie or playing games) while on a long road trip.
Along with these devices are services that allow people to maximize this mobility. Services such as docuware or those that use cloud-computing have arrived to elevate accessibility and portability even more.

Truly, humans have achieved breakthroughs that not only elevate workload but life itself.

Media Server

We used to use the PS3 for watching movies. However, some of the file formats are not recognized by PS3 and does not allow us to watch it. So we decided to get a media server, one that’s highly compatible with a lot of file formats.

We went to Costco and found this WD Live media server which I really think is great. Also, good thing we had two hdmi video cables. We went right into using it when I brought it home.

My wife and I are really movie lovers and as much as we want to watch new stuff in cinemas, it’s really not that practical, especially here where movies cost approximately 12 to 18 bucks. So, we decided to watch at home during evenings.

Attire Trends

There was a time when I was in college when wearing scrub suit was in. A lot of people, especially young students looked like medical professional. It was the boom of the nursing course and scrub suit makers were being creative by making a lot of different printed scrub suit designs. Some were very colorful while other designs were simple, imitating designs from popular brands like Polo, Adidas and Nike. If you walk to a shop at that time, you can choose from a very wide variety of designs, from plain whites and pastel colors, to like nursing scrubs from Marcus which is really neat, having all these different designs.

That was also the time when clogs and hospital shoes like Crocs became very hit. What used to be restrictedly used in the medical field is now mainstream. Of course, companies making these products also quickly became very creative by making designed buttons and pins to ornament the products.

Her Blackberry

After a few months of using a single mobile, my wife finally decided to get a new phone which she can use. When I arrived here, my wife let me use her old iPhone since I need it more than she does.

We decided to finally get her own phone when, one time, we really needed to contact each other because we planned to meet up on one of the shops. Then suddenly, there came a sudden snow and hail storm… in summer! Good thing, we went ahead and still met each other as planned.

Last week, we decided to buy her BB a good quality case. We had a difficulty looking for one. Most of what’s available were iphone 4 accessories in shops (which I think is one of the most used phone at present. Good thing, we got one that not only had a good quality case, it also had nice screen protector with it. Really good bang for the buck.
