That was way way long before I had nieces and nephews. At the moment, I have eleven. Wow. I used to have times with them when a sister or a brother of mine is at my mom’s house (where I used to live before I went out of the city). They always leave the kids with me or with my mom. And it can be hours of carrying, watching cartoons, singing, sleeping, spilling food all-over the house and many many others. It was tiring but was fun. And for sure, it wasn’t half the real deal when I have my own kids.

Another fun time with kids are during birthdays. Yup, celebrating your newborn is something that none of my siblings want to pass. There will be balloons and clowns and everything noisy and colorful. Those times will always be a part of me, especially now that I live far from them already.

Soon, we’ll see these features and a whole lot more come to life and experience it for ourselves. For now, let’s keep our fingers crossed.

The emergence of Cloud Computing allows processing of data in an application which is NOT dependent to single computing machine. Imagine yourself doing some work on an Excel Sheet but without the need for a Windows Personal Computer. You do it by accessing the file somewhere in the world via the internet. That “somewhere” will readily provide you everything you need to do your stuff on the single Excel Sheet.

Now, imagine everything that you do in your Personal Computer can now be done through almost anything – mobile phones, game consoles, home appliances, gadgets. The concept shows how powerful it is with its endless possibilities.

All of these do not any more rely on a single infrastructure but more on data and applications, how they are created and how accessible it is to you wherever you are, however you want to tap to it. That is Data as a Platform.

When she had a good amount of money, she asked her sister-in-law to get her this from the United States. It was one of the top in the line a few years back, built for entertainment – movie watching, music streaming and all the fun stuff you can think of. It also came with a sleek remote which I think was really great.

But now, the time has come for it to retire. I know I need to get a new one soon, maybe something with a 2630qm processor in it. I know there are lots of good places to buy one here in Canada. One store that surprised me is Canada Post. Yep, they do sell stuff online and, at  a really good deal mind you. I was surprised to know they sell stuff because who would have thought a mail company can actually deal with you on gadgets and gizmos.

Anyway, I hope to get one soon. Will start off with comparing brands and models for now.

The second job interview will be held next week. It’s actually a position at the local government. They are looking for a systems analyst, someone who will work on an application that they use. I will still prepare for that. Good thing I have enough time from now up to the Friday next week. Wish me luck again.

Good thing, I was able to answer their call this time – a phone job interview on a Saturday night. Whew. It doesn’t matter if it’s during the weekend but at least I got an interview. Also, this position can be really good since it’s a government office needing the staff. So – wish me luck!

I wouldn’t say maintaining such is easy. There are a lot of stuff to do – redesign, fix sites, monetizing, search engine optimization. Honestly, right now, I’m not sure if its a way much better for my sites or not. I’ve been working on fixing some stuff or at least trying to monetize these blogs so that I get to have a return on investment. Sometimes, it just gets too tiring and frustrating. Or maybe I’m just too impatient.

I remember a few years back when I started these websites. I was very eager to start that I even resigned from a regular job just to focus on this. Don’t get me wrong, I love web development and web design. And in fairness to my blogs, they have brought in some good finances ever since. It’s just that sometimes, you can’t help but take a look at the stuff you have been doing from a distance and sometimes feel lost, not knowing where to go.

I guess it’s just another hurdle on web development. Hopefully, this work will again pick-up soon. Still hopeful

If you are a professional, you would also need to advance to higher levels. Especially in today’s professional standards where everyone is competing for the spot, it is very important to learn new things to stay competent and relevant. Good thing, there are already a lot of good online universities where you can enroll to. You can get a diploma or certification at the comforts of your home.
